Gadget N Tech - Samsung PX2370 23 inch Widescreen LED TFT Monitor
In Gadget N Tech's last blog post "Busy 20th July for Apple" we spoke about Apple's new Thunderbolt display monitor. This display would set you back a massive £899 and at Gadget N Tech we think thats a bit too much for most people to pay for a monitor.

A couple of months ago I needed a new monitor so I spent hours searching the internet to find what I thought was the best one. I decided that the best one was the Samsung PX2370 23 inch Widescreen LED TFT Monitor, at just £210 it was clearly a lot cheaper then most monitors out their including the old Apple cinema display.

So what do you get for your £210? Well you get a 23-inch LED widescreen monitor with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 with Full HD. You also get a HDMI, DVI-I and a VGA Input. Also has Digital Audio and a 3.5mm jack
The Samsung PX2370 is easiest the lightest and slimest monitor I have seen and owned and because it's a Samsung it's got great looking display and uses the latest technology. One of the best thing about the Samsung PX2370 is that it has a HDMI output which you can't find in most other monitors, this means that you can plug in your xbox 360, PS3, Sky HD, Apple TV,etc.
I would highly recommend this monitor to anybody who is in search or a new one unless they currently own one of the newer Apple Mac computers which has a Thunderbolt port which then I would advise you to go for the new Apple Thunderbolt display unless you don't want to pay the substantial cost.

Gadget N Tech - Busy 20th July for Apple
On Monday 20th July Apple officially released there new OS (Operating System), Mac OS X Lion. A new update to the Macbook Air, Mac Mini range and the Cinema display monitor.
The new Max OS X Lion can only be downloaded from the Mac App store for a very reasonable price of £20.99. You can also install the OS on all your Mac computers without having to pay another £20.99.
The update to the Macbook Air range see's the starting price stay the same at £849 for the 11-inch and £1099 for the 13-inch. The design of the Macbook Air hasn't changed from the previous year model.
The update to the Mac Mini range see's Apple make the product more portable so you have the power of a desktop which can be easily transportable so you take it to your office with you if you so desired but lets face it you'd prefer a laptop instead wouldn't you? But if you've got a small desk then it's perfect for you because it takes up very little room. The starting price for the new Mac Mini is £529 for the 2.3GHz, £699 for the 2.5GHz and if you want the lion server you have to pay £849 and it comes with a 2.0GHz.

Apple have called their newest cinema dislay monitor "Apple Thunderbolt Display". The new monitor is 27-inches and has a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 this will cost you £899 which is pretty expensive for a monitor. Apple call their new display "The ultimate docking station" they say this because almost all of their Mac computers except the Macbook now has Thunderbolt. If you don't already know Thunderbolt can transfer upto 10-Gbps which Apple report is upto to 20 times faster then USB 2.0 and 12 times faster then FireWire 800.

Gadget N Tech - Skullcandy Smokin Buds In-Ear headphones review
Over the years I have had many pairs of headphones. Now I want to use my knowledge to help you make informed decisions on which headphones you should buy.
Skullcandy are one of the biggest headphone manufacturers out there. One of the in-ear headphones which i've used and am impressed by are the Skullcandy Smokin Buds.
I have bought two pairs of the Smokin Buds over the years; the first pair got a loose connection after a couple of months of use which I wasn't too happy about, but the second pair have lasted me about a year so far - which I'm pretty happy with.
The Smokin Buds are reasonably cheap - i've found them for £12.99 but the price changes depending on the colours you choose. The headphones comfortably fit into your ear and don't falll out very easily so this is a good sign. You can max out the volume of the headphones and you get little if no distortion, I wouldn't recommend maxing the headphones out because they go incredibly loud and you can damage your hearing.
I have listened to most genre's of songs e.g. Pop, RnB, Rock, Classical, etc. The vocals sound very good especially for a cheap pair of headphones like these. You can get better sounding headphones but you'll have to pay in excess of £30 from my experience.
I would highly recommend the Skullcandy Smokin Buds for people that enjoy listening to music and are on the move for most of the day and have a habit of breaking the headphones.

iPad 3 possible Retina and 3D display
ZDNet have reported to have found information within the iOS 5 code that shows the iPad 3 will incorporate a 1536 x 2048 rosolution screen.
If speculation is right this will mean that apple have have a device that has a higher resolution then full HD which is 1920 x 1080.
There is also speculation that the iPad 3 will have a no glasses 3D display like the Nintendo 3DS. Their is already an app on the app store which you can download for FREE which tracks your face to create a 3D image. The app is called i3D and can only be used with the iPad 2, Iphone 4 and Ipod 4g becuase it needs a front facing camera.
The iPad 3 is believed to arrive later this year. Apparently their will be a staggered release for the product arriving in America first.
Personally I doubt apple will incorporate a 3D display within the iPad 3 but I hope they incorporate the Retina display for the device.
